Local COVID-19 pop up testing event yields 44+ positive tests

WILMINGTON The Clinton County Health District reported Friday that, of the 278 people tested during the COVID-19 pop up testing event last Saturday in Wilmington, 44 people tested positive for COVID-19, with another three inconclusive.
“This is almost exactly in line with the 15 percent positivity rate reflected in both the region and the state,” said Clinton County Health Commissioner Pamela Walker-Bauer.

Eight more Clinton Countians have died from COVID-19, the Clinton County Health District reported Monday morning.
Sixteen local residents have now died from coronavirus-related causes within an 18-day period.
The latest victims are:
• A man in his 60s
• Two women in their 70s
• A woman in her 80s
• A woman in her 90s
• Two more deaths have been reported; they have not yet been entered into the Ohio Department of Health Dashboard “as we are awaiting the official lab results,” said Clinton County Health Commissioner Pamela Walker-Bauer.
