Pleas made, jury trial set for 2 of 3 in relation to alleged poaching incident

WILMINGTON A plea and a jury trial were entered for two suspects in relation to the December incident during which a state wildlife officer was shot.
Thomas Davis, 35, of Jamestown, currently has a jury trial scheduled in Clinton County Municipal Court for April 30.
Bryan Achtermann, 36, of Midland entered two “no contest” pleas in Municipal Court on Monday.
Achtermann’s attorney, Matthew Suellentrop, told the News Journal they entered the pleas to one count of hunting without a license and one count of hunting without a deer permit, both fourth-degree misdemeanors.

Blan PD: Person arrested for 8th time in past year

BLANCHESTER A Blanchester woman was arrested for the eighth time in the past year after a reported incident at a restaurant.
At around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Blanchester Police were called to the Gold Star restaurant at 942 E. Cherry St. on a report of a disorderly woman “trying to climb through the drive-thru window,” according to a news release from Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt.
Officers said they arrived and encountered Cassondra Richardson, 28, in the parking lot.
According to the restaurant owner, Richardson came into the store demanding a refund for food she claimed to have purchased on Monday.

Clinton County Sheriff’s reports
WILMINGTON
The following information comes from incident reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court.
The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports:
• At 7 p.m. on March 5, deputies responded to a restaurant on Old State Road in Clarksville/Vernon Township on the report of a subject making threats with a knife. The report lists a 56-year-old Leesburg male as the suspect and a 48-year-old Morrow male as the victim. The report indicates alcohol may have been involved. No injuries were reported. No further details were listed.
