Dec 18, 2020 FELONY ARRESTS  BOMBAY — A Moira man was arrested for felony DWI following a traffic stop Dec. 5 That day, troopers pulled over Dylan J. Barney, 24, on State Route 95 in the town of Bombay at approximately 8:20 p.m., a press release said, for driving 65 mph in a 35 mph zone. Barney was operating a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country with a revoked and suspended non-driver ID and was determined to be driving while intoxicated, according to the release. Barney’s blood alcohol content was allegedly found to be 0.12 percent. Barney had previous convictions for DWI and DWAI within the preceding ten years, the release said, making the new charge a felony.

Schuyler Falls man faces attempted murder charges

By CARA CHAPMAN Press-Republican Dec 17, 2020 PLATTSBURGH — A Schuyler Falls man has been charged with the attempted murder of two State Police troopers in connection with a Dec. 6 incident. Following his release from Albany Medical Center Friday, Kevin M. Doherty Jr., 34, was charged with two counts each of first-degree attempted murder of a police officer and menacing of a police officer, and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies, State Police said in a press release. ALLEGEDLY FIRED SHOTGUN State Police have said that troopers responded to Doherty s Rabideau Street home at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, for a welfare check.
