CLINTON TOWNSHIP The Clinton Township Police Department is investigating an alleged attack on a man and woman during an evening movie showing at a local theater.
Clinton Township Police Capt. Richard Maierle said Feb. 8 that the physical altercation occurred at about 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at AMC Star Gratiot 15, located at 35705 South Gratiot Avenue.
He said a man and his girlfriend were at one of the showings in the theater when three teenagers one male and two females entered and reportedly became “really loud” and would not quiet down.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP The co-owner of a well-known area restaurant has been charged with allegedly killing his wife.
Joseph Jim Palleschi, 55, of Clinton Township, was charged Jan. 19 in 41-B District Court with one count of open murder homicide. His bond was set at $500,000 by Magistrate Ryan Zemke.
Clinton Township Police Capt. Richard Maierle said Jan. 19 that police were called to the Palleschi residence on Vincenzia Drive, south of 18 Mile Road, at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16.
Maierle said the body of Palleschi’s wife, Karen, was found in the area in the house between the garage and kitchen. She was shot once in the head.

On Jan. 25, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office authorized felony warrants for Darrell Semaj Banks, 19, of Mount Clemens, and Dajuan Dion-Diego Davenport, 20, of Warren.
Both have been charged with two counts of first-degree homicide, which are punishable by up to life in prison. They were also charged with a two-year felony firearm.
