Jackson, the grandson of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, appeared in Cuyahoga County court on Wednesday morning after he drove away from police during a traffic stop in Parma over the weekend. The younger Jackson was pulled over for having too dark of a tint on the windows of his car. He refused to let police search his car and led them on a chase with speeds that reached more than 100 miles per hour.

Jackson was due for a pretrial hearing related to a domestic violence charge involving the mother of his child. However, Jackson was in the Parma jail, and was in court in that city on Monday, after he turned himself in to face a charge of failure to comply with a police order. Parma Police say when they pulled over Frank Q. Jackson for windows that were tinted too dark, he drove off, and led police on a chase into Cleveland.

Mayor Jackson s Grandson Has Another Run-In With The Law

By Tom Moore (Parma) - The namesake grandson of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson is in more legal trouble. Parma Police say that shortly after midnight Sunday morning, Frank Q. Jackson was stopped by police for window tinting that was too dark. During the traffic stop, the Parma officer asked Jackson to get out of the vehicle while Jackson agreed to a search. One police officer had a hold of the vehicle as they say Jackson pulled away. The officer ran with the vehicle but let go, and was not seriously hurt. Parma Police then followed Jackson in a high speed chase getting up to 100 MPH. Parma Police lost the vehicle near the Lorain Ave. exit off I-90 in Cleveland.
