Man who tried to skate away from police sent to prison for domestic violence Updated at Share This Zacery Farley IDAHO FALLS An Idaho Falls man who tried to skate away from police after attacking a woman will now head to prison. Zacery Farley, 26, received a three to 10-year prison sentence on Monday by District Judge Joel Tingey. Farley pleaded guilty in March to felony attempted strangulation, felony domestic battery and misdemeanor resisting arrest. As part of a plea agreement made with prosecutors, a witness intimidation charge was dismissed. The dismissed charge stemmed from Farley allegedly calling the victim from jail and asking her not to give up on him.

To ensure that the return was a positive one, community members and students from across eastern Idaho visited the school to welcome back the middle schoolers. The community members displayed their love, strength and solidarity with the students through chalk art, posters or other artistic displays. “It was a very tragic event that happened and we just felt we just needed to show a little love to Rigby,” Bonneville High School student Brock Wilde said. Elk calving season underway in Yellowstone Park and authorities urge you to be cautious Share This YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Elk calving season will begin soon in Yellowstone National Park. Cow elk are much more aggressive towards people during the calving season and may charge or kick. Several years ago, two women were hospitalized after being attacked by elk near the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. In the first incident, the elk reared up and kicked the woman multiple times with its front legs, hitting her head, torso and back. She had been walking in the area while the animal was protecting a calf bedded down roughly 20 feet away. The woman was flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

John Voight joins Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center John Voight Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center has added John Voight, MSN, RN, NEA-BC as chief nursing officer (CNO). In this role, he oversees clinical nursing operations throughout the hospital, ensures quality patient care and leads efforts to increase patient satisfaction. He comes to EIRMC with 20 years of health care experience at various hospitals across the nation. Most recently, he served as CNO at Oviedo Medical Center (HCA Healthcare) in Oviedo, Florida. In this role, on top of his nursing leadership responsibilities, he also had a good portion of the responsibilities traditionally held by an operations officer. He also previously served as assistant chief nursing officer, as well as vice president of emergency services with the Ocala Health System (HCA Healthcare), where he oversaw the strategic operations of emergency departments on two campuses and two freestanding ERs.
