IDAHO FALLS An Idaho Falls man has been arrested for felony battery against an officer after an altercation Saturday.
Police reports show Idaho Falls Police Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Fanning Avenue for a disturbance about 5 a.m. The caller told dispatchers that a man was highly intoxicated and was standing in the road yelling and attempting to fight people.
When officers arrived at the scene they located the male and also several witnesses, according to an IFPD news release.
Witnesses reported the intoxicated man, 21-year-old Christian Herrera, had been drinking and became confrontational with the others. Witnesses reported that Herrera hit at least two people, and had attempted to leave in his vehicle before police officers arrived.
