Kentucky State Police to hold Special Olympics fundraiser

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) â Kentucky State Police is conducting a fundraiser for Special Olympics.
Starting Monday, the agency will park cruisers at 16 locations statewide for a week. People are encouraged to cover the cruisers with custom stickers for a minimum donation of $1, State Police said in a news release.
The Cover the Cruiser donations will go directly to Special Olympics Kentucky. The annual state summer games are scheduled to be held in person June 5 at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.

Richard and Susan Lyons of Vienna are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Christina Marie, to Brandon Hayes Palidar, son of Raymond and Andrea Palidar of Wadsworth.
The bride-elect is a 2013 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, and received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Bowling Green State University of Ohio in 2017. In 2018, she graduated in the accelerated program at Bowling Green with her master’s in social work.
She is employed as a licensed social worker by Amatus Health in Toledo.
Mr. Palidar graduated in 2012 from Wadsworth Senior High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Bowling Green State University in 2018 and his master’s degree in sports administration from Arkansas State University in 2020. He is employed as a strength and conditioning coach at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky.
