New Delhi [India], January 20 (ANI): Delhi High Court, while hearing the batch of petitions in relation to non-payment of salaries and pensions to the employees of municipal Corporations, said that non-availability of funds cannot be and shall not be accepted by the Court as an excuse for untimely payment of salaries on Wednesday.
The Court has also directed the Municipal Corporations to place the different heads of expenditure in respect to the Municipal Councillors, Class-I officers and Class-II officers. The amounts incurred in providing perks to them should be clearly disclosed under each specific head.

New Delhi, Jan 20 : The Delhi High Court has pulled up the municipal corporations for the non-payment of salaries and pensions to their employees, noting that paucity of funds cannot be an excuse and that right to receive pay is a fundamental right enshrined under the Constitution of India.
A division bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli was hearing a batch of petitions in relation to the non-payment of salaries and pensions to the employees of Delhi municipal corporations, particularly North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NrDMC) and East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC).

New Delhi [India], January 20 (ANI): The Central government on Tuesday requested for more time to file a response in the Delhi High Court on People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) application seeking to implement the provisions of the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Disease in Animal Act, 2009 and National Action Plan for control and eradication of glanders in horses, mules, ponies, and donkeys in Delhi.
