The Delhi government today announced a fund of Rs 1,051 crore for the three municipal corporations in Delhi to pay salaries of healthcare workers and other employees amid the ongoing second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
"Doctors and other employees of the civic bodies are not getting their salaries due to mismanagement and corruption in municipal corporations of Delhi," Manish Sisodia alleged.
The Delhi government on Saturday announced a fund of Rs 1,051 crore for the three municipal corporations here to pay salaries of healthcare workers and other employees amid the ongoing second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. New Delhi, May 15 : The Delhi government on Saturday allocated Rs 1,051 crore to the three municipal corporations to pay the salaries of employees and medical staff working amid the ongoing second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Of the total financial assistance of Rs 1,051 crore earmarked for the three MCDs, Rs 366.9 crore will be given to the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC), Rs 432.8 crore to North MCD and Rs 251.6 crore to South MCD.
The employees of the three civic bodies have been demanding their monthly wages for the past several months.
