After eluding police in a high speed chase last week, a couple was arrested in Zachary on Tuesday in connection with a drive-by shooting last month in East Baton Rouge, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriffâs Office.
Joshua Jones, 28, and Tierra Brooks, 29, were arrested at Brooksâ Zachary apartment, where police say she had been helping hide Jones. Jones was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on attempted first degree murder, assault by drive-by shooting, illegal use of a weapon, and fleeing the police. Brooks was charged as an accessory to those crimes, and was also charged with aiding a fugitive.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A 33-year-old Baton Rouge man was arrested and charged for producing and possessing child pornography, according to state police.
Investigators found evidence of child pornography during their search of Jesse Allen’s home.
Allen was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for the possession of pornography involving juveniles and indecent behavior with juveniles.
After a joint investigation with the FBI, police also found Allen was involved in the production of child pornography. He was charged with the production of child pornography Dec. 22, according to state police.

It looks like YoungBoy Never Broke Again s got a sizable chunk of change and jewelry heading back his way.
According to a Thursday (Dec. 17) report from Baton Rouge, La. news outlet WBRZ, a judge has ordered the Baton Rouge Police Department to return $47,000 in cash and several pieces of jewelry they seized from YoungBoy Never Broke Again when they arrested him during a video shoot back in September.
Police reportedly found YoungBoy with $47,100, some jewelry and a cashier s check. The check was reportedly worth $300,000. The order was signed on Thursday, and the police must turn the money, the check and the jewelry in to either YoungBoy or his lawyers.

BATON ROUGE - Officials with the Baton Rouge Fire Department (BRFD) arrested a man for allegedly starting a deadly July 15 fire at a north Baton Rouge home.
According to BRFD, Robert Givens has been accused of intentionally setting fire to a home within the 5300 block of Sherwood street. The resulting blaze caused an estimated $45,000 in damages and killed four pets, one dog and three cats.
Givens was arrested Wednesday and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of aggravated arson, violation of a protective order and terrorizing.
