BATON ROUGE - On Friday (Jan. 8) morning, a shooting that left one person injured occurred near Baton Rouge s Glen Oaks area, off Silverleaf Avenue.
Officials with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff s Office say a man was shot in the 6600 block of Perimeter Drive early Friday morning.
Few details related to the shooting or the victim s condition have been released at this time.

BATON ROUGE - According to Total Traffic and Weather Network, a crash on I-10 East between the Siegen Lane and Highland Road exits occurred early Friday (Jan. 8) morning.
The wreck, which was initially reported by Total Traffic around 6 a.m., is said to involve an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff s Unit and reportedly left one person hurt. Officials say this individual was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time, few details related to the crash itself are available, and WBRZ has reached out to the Sheriff s Office for additional information.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Officials with the Baton Rouge Police Department say one of their K9 officers was shot and injured while attempting to detain a suspect during a traffic stop during the early morning hours of Wednesday, Jan. 6.
Investigators say a BRPD K9 unit pulled over a suspected stolen white Dodge Ram pick-up truck around 12 a.m. in the 300 block of North 18th Street.

BATON ROUGE - Early Tuesday (Dec. 29) morning, a shooting that left two people injured occurred in a neighborhood off Perkins Road, authorities say.
Officials with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff s Office (EBRSO) told WBRZ the shots were fired around 1:30 a.m. as individuals in two vehicles were allegedly firing weapons at one another near the 1700 block of Denver Drive.
EBRSO says its detectives learned that two wounded victims were taken to an area hospital in a personal vehicle, and that one of the victims was in critical condition.
