The following high schools and colleges have announced their 2021 graduation ceremony schedule: • West Liberty University: Graduate students, 5 p.m. Friday; undergraduate students, Saturday (College of Education and Human Performance and the College of Liberal Arts, 10 a.m.; College of Sciences, noon; College of Arts and Communication, the Gary E. West College of Business and the School of Professional Studies, 3 p.m. All ceremonies will be held at the Academic, Sports and Recreation Complex. • Bethany College: 10 a.m., Saturday, Bison Stadium. • West Virginia Northern Community College: 7 p.m. May 14, Wheeling Island Stadium. • Franciscan University of Steubenville: Baccalaureate Mass, 6 p.m. May 14; Science departments commencement, 9 a.m., May 15; arts departments commencement, 1 p.m. May 15. Commencement ceremonies will be held in the Finnegan Fieldhouse.

Contributed The lobby of Historic Fort Steuben at 120 S. Third St., Steubenville, is the showcase during May for the works of longtime Steubenville Art Association member Jim Watson. For 14 years, Watson has been the chairman of the Steubenville Art Association spring show, where he has won numerous awards. He also leads exhibits in the windows downtown and at Eastern Gateway Community College. Having a commercial art and illustration degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Watson has won Best of Show awards twice in Oglebay Institute’s “Everyone’s Exhibit,” twice in the Wellsburg Art Association spring show and once in the Algonquin Mill Festival. A Weirton Steel employee for 36 years before his retirement, Watson has participated in various art association holiday and veteran displays and in shows in New Cumberland and at Bethany College’s Fall Annual. nhawthorne@tribtoday.com Evelyn Huerta of Warren, a scholarship winner from Youngstown-based Beatitude House, shops for clothes at Macy’s at the Eastwood Mall in Niles on Thursday afternoon. The store gave 15 women from the program each $100 gift cards to buy clothes needed for job interviews, work, school or their children. The women also received a $25 gift card for Firebirds at the mall. NILES Macy’s at the Eastwood Mall on Thursday gave 15 women some help with preparing for their futures. The women with Youngstown-based Beatitude House were each given $100 gift cards to buy needed clothing for job interviews, for work or for their children.
