The Indigenous People of Biafra has raised the alarm that South-East Governors, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and others were compiling the names of its members and those of Eastern Security Network, to handover to the Federal Government for incarceration.
The secessionist group noted that the move was suggested to the leaders of the South-East geopolitical zone, in order to weaken its resolve and that of the ESN from flushing the Fulani herdsmen out of the zone.
The group further observed that since the formation of the ESN, efforts to flush out Fulani herdsmen out of the zone had intensified, regretting, however, that politicians, local authorities and others were sabotaging the efforts.

The Indigenous People of Biafra says its security outfit, the Eastern Security Network, would be launched in the Northern part of Nigeria soon.
This is as the secessionist group vowed that it would resist the planned deployment of 5,000 vigilantes to the South-East region by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria.
The MACBAN, on Saturday, vehemently vowed that it would deploy 5,000 of its vigilante to the South-East region to protect herders and their cattle.

But IPOB in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent, on Sunday, said it was ready to resist the plan by Miyetti, adding that such threat was an insult on Igboland.

It also vowed to kill members of the Miyetti Allah herders allegedly planning to relocate to the region in a bid to protect their cattle.
The secessionist group reiterated further that it will soon expand the operations of its security wing to the Northern part of the country, while stating that it could no longer tolerate provocative utterances from herders.

South East governors in collaboration with Ohanaeze Ndigbo and some “treacherous’ tradinonal rulers, and President Generals of some communities, are compiling names of suspected operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), as well as Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) members and supporters for persecution, according to IPOB.
IPOB stated that if the governors don’t rescind their plan, “IPOB will maIn a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary Emma Powerful, the group claimed that its intelligence unit uncovered “a secret file” containing the list of the suspected ESN and IPOB members.
Considering the rising insecurity, resulting in the loss of lives and properties of South Easterners in Nigeria, especially in Ebonyi, Imo and Enugu states by Killer herdsmen, the floating of a joint security outfit by the governors should call for celebration in the area.
