Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been arrested, TheCable can report.

He has been extradited to Nigeria to face trial.
Abubakar Malami, attorney-general and minister of justice, confirmed the development at a press briefing on Tuesday.
He said Kanu was “intercepted” on Sunday, but he did not disclose the location.

Emma Powerful, IPOB spokesman, had denied the arrest when TheCable contacted him on Monday evening.
Kanu is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony instituted against him at the federal high court in Abuja in response to years of campaign for the independent Republic of Biafra through IPOB.
