East Brunswick mayor discusses COVID-19 vaccine distribution
EAST BRUNSWICK – Mayor Brad Cohen provided residents with an update about the COVID-19 vaccine distribution within the Township of East Brunswick so far and what to expect in the coming weeks.
With the township being home to several long-term care facilities, Cohen said the delivery of vaccines to long-term care facilities, is being completely run by the state.
“[One of the] first groups of people were nursing homes, and the state contracted with individual pharmacies,” Cohen said. “They’re all being done through the CVS and the Walgreens, which have been contracted by the state to give out vaccines to long-term care facilities starting with nursing homes, and then proceeding to assisted livings, rehab centers and such.”
