Assault: A woman said her boyfriend pummeled her Sunday after she broke up with him, and when he was done told her, “Baby, I love you. Why did you make me do this?” The victim had a large bruise on her forehead and the left side of her face, reported rib and chest pain and told deputies she thinks she was assaulted in the Brush Creek township area and might have passed out. She got herself to East Liverpool City Hospital but was transferred to a Pittsburgh hospital for further treatment. The victim said they were at a campground in the Hammondsville area when they got in an argument and she asked for her belongings back. He asked her to follow him to a family member’s home but en route, she told deputies he lured her out of her vehicle and attacked her.
East Liverpool City police answered two catalytic converter complaints in the past few days. At 10:38 a.m. March 2, a female subject reported that she observed a tall, skinny white male with a large tattoo on his left hand parked near her Jeep several hours before. He was going through a tool box in the bed of a dark colored S-10 and now her catalytic converter is missing. Another woman in the 1800 block of Harvey Avenue reported at 4:33 p.m. Saturday that someone over the past three days stole her catalytic converter off her Chevrolet sedan while it was parked in a private lot.
