Neiderhaus said they fear that the heat on Saturday may have played a role in his disappearance as temperatures reached triple digits on Saturday
‘We are concerned due to the heat. We don’t think he has a large water source,’ he said.

An extensive search is underway on Sunday in Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park, where authorities are looking for a man who didn t return from a run Saturday in the hills.
Philip Kreycik, 37, parked his car near the Moller Ranch staging area about 11 a.m. and told his wife he was going for an hourlong run in the East Bay Regional Park, Pleasanton police said.
“His phone was left in his car with his ID, which is apparently normal for him. He s a pretty active runner and he s all about the speed and he doesn t like to carry a lot of things, said Lt. Chris Niederhaus with Pleasanton police.
One of the first concerns for police was the triple digit temperatures on Saturday. That’s when search teams were quickly called including scent hounds.
One of the dogs followed his scent from his vehicle to a trail. But no farther.
On Sunday night, there are search teams from Alameda, Contra Costa and Marin counties as well as volunteers who had just shown up to help.
