It is highest parcel loading in a single day in the ECoR history, say officials
The Waltair Division has once again created a record parcel loading of 544 tonnes of mangoes, loaded at Vizianagaram to Adarsh Nagar (New Delhi), in a single Kisan Rail on Saturday.
It is ever highest record parcel loading in a single day in the history of East Coast Railway. With this, the division has sent more more than 6,000 tonnes of mangoes to New Delhi through 19 kisan trains, since April 17.
Railways to run Kisan Special trains from Agartala to Howrah & Sealdah
Kisan Special Train will leave from Agartala at 1915 hours once a week on Thursday and will reach Sealdah on Saturday

The North East Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to run Kisan Special trains from Agartala to Howrah and Sealdah from February 11, for the benefit of the farmers and transporters of NE Region, an official said. Kisan Special Train will leave from Agartala at 1915 hours once a week on Thursday and will reach Sealdah on Saturday.
The train will have stoppages at Dharmanagar, Badarpur, Lumding, Guwahati, Kamakhya, Goalpara, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Khaltipur, Bardhaman and Bandel for loading/unloading, a statement issued by NF Railway said.
