Province announces new framework to fight COVID-19 Posted on November 5, 2020 by oshawaexpress in NEWS By Courtney Bachar/The Oshawa Express/LJI Reporter   The province will be announcing tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 6, where Durham Region and the rest of the province stands within the new framework to help fight and stop the spread of COVID-19. Premier Doug Ford announced the Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework earlier this week, which will take effect Saturday, Nov. 7 at 12:01 a.m. The new framework will ensure public health measures are “targeted, incremental and responsive to help limit the spread of the virus, while also keeping schools and businesses open, maintaining health system capacity and protecting vulnerable people, including those in long-term care,” states the province.
