Virginia has added a transfer player to its roster for 2021, a player who can help help the Cavaliers’ secondary.
Anthony Johnson, a redshirt junior cornerback for Louisville this past season, announced on Twitter than he has committed to Virginia. The 6-foot-1, 206-pound defensive back, played in eight games for the Cardinals this past season, but has played in 32 games during his Louisville career.
An original 4-star prospect by Rivals.com and ESPN.com in 2017, Johnson was considered one of the best defensive backs in the state of Florida. He played in the Under Armour All-American game and was ranked No. 42 on ESPN’s Top 300 cornerbacks.

Michigan’s football program lost one of its top defensive commits in its 2021 class on Wednesday.
Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood four-star linebacker Branden Jennings flipped his commitment from Michigan to Maryland and signed with Terrapins. Jennings, ranked as the No. 109 overall prospect nationally, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings, was the newest Wolverines pledge after committing in October just days after he decommitted from Florida State.
But the 6-foot, 3 ½-inch, 225-pounder reportedly had concerns about Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh’s contract situation. He said on his Instagram live video that he changed his mind “about a week ago” and called Maryland “the best place and fit for me.”

The Oregon Ducks football program has officially signed 20 of its 21 prospects in the class of 2021, a group that is ranked No. 3 in the country.
But Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff still have a few scholarships available, so what’s left in the 2021 recruiting cycle leading up to February’s traditional signing period?
Like every other program in the country, Oregon is likely to see which prospects haven’t signed after the early signing period and re-adjust their board.
