Former Bethel principal accused of trying to send sexual messages to underage girl pleads guilty to federal charge
Print article A former Bethel elementary school principal pleaded guilty Thursday to a federal charge of attempted coercion of a minor for his attempts to exchange sexually explicit messages with an underage girl. In June 2019, a 14-year-old girl told investigators that Christopher Carmichael, now 56, had molested her. During the investigation, an FBI agent posed as a 13-year-old girl and messaged Carmichael.

It is no secret that COVID-19 pandemic has affected all levels of the educational system and educators across the globe are grappling with the long-term impact on learning for their students.
