The Under the Southern Stars festival has been cancelled at the last minute for the second year in a row - with the organisers blaming the government s mismanagement of the Covid-19 situation in a furious statement.
Festival organisers announced on Wednesday the concert series, which was to feature Cheap Trick, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots around the country in April and May, would be postponed until 2022 to protect patrons, artists and crews during the pandemic. Given the disappointingly slow roll-out of the vaccine by the Government, there is no confidence that we can keep all safe and proceed as planned at our festivals this May, they said in a statement.
