Louisiana Senateâs $37B budget plan largely in line with House version
Tuesday, May 25, 2021
Louisiana state senators Monday unveiled their version of a $37 billion state operating budget that includes millions of dollars in new spending on education programs, pay raises and legislative pet projects.

But since the House approved its spending recommendations, Louisiana’s income forecast brightened, giving senators hundreds of millions of dollars more to plug into the package of spending bills.
