Agricultural exports from Michigan last year jumped significantly. The Michigan Department of Agriculture admits it is the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement renegotiated under the direction of former President Donald Trump, which is the primary factor helping Canada and Mexico remain the top buyers of Michigan farm and food products.

Overall agricultural exports from Michigan jumped 18.7%, good for an increase of $340 million. Total AG exports from Michigan last year topped out at $2.16 billion dollars.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer jumping on the news to comment, “Through a once-in-a-century pandemic, Michigan’s resilient farmers and dynamic agricultural industry stepped up to continue feeding the U.S. and the world.”
A New York man is now facing charges for participating in the January 6 Capitol riot in Washington DC after being overheard bragging about his involvement during an appointment at the dentist’s office. The Russian parliament's lower house voted Wednesday to withdraw from an international treaty allowing surveillance flights over military facilities following the U.S. departure from the pact. The Russian exit from the Open Skies Treaty is yet to be endorsed by the upper house of parliament and needs to be signed by President Vladimir Putin to take effect. The Open Skies Treaty was intended to build trust between Russia and the West by allowing the accord’s more than three dozen signatories to conduct reconnaissance flights over each other’s territories to collect information about military forces and activities.
Migrant Parents Feel Forced to Send Children Across the Border Alone
Many migrants are sending their children to the U.S. alone because those with older children are being rapidly expelled.
Marely traveled for 13 days with her mother from El Salvador toward the U.S.-Mexico border. But once they made it to a raft to cross the Rio Grande, the 12-year-old found out her mother wasn’t coming with her. Marely had to then turn herself in to Border Patrol agents in La Joya, Texas. Her mother is among many migrants sending their children to the U.S. alone because migrant families with older children are being rapidly expelled under a pandemic health rule. Meanwhile if unaccompanied children arrive alone, the Biden administration is allowing them to remain in the U.S. while they wait for their court cases. The Associated Press
