Resident Evil Village Steam Listing Reveals Multiplayer Content
Resident Evil Village appears to have been all but confirmed.
As spotted by the folks over at Biohazard Declassified, routine updates to Valve’s Steam database reveal a small but significant change to store listings for Capcom’s upcoming survival horror sequel. While the amendments have yet to go live on the client’s frontend, multiplayer is now listed under store tags as of earlier today. Unfortunately, little else besides the aforementioned alteration has been made, so we’re still very much in the dark regarding what online functionality will entail in this instance.
Capcom Says Resident Evil Village Event Will Have Some Surprises

Resident Evil Village event is happening on Thursday to reveal the first ever look at some gameplay from the next mainline Resident Evil game. But the event itself was just known as the “Resident Evil Showcase” and was never advertised to be only about
Resident Evil Village, so it was expected that there’d be more news perhaps unrelated to the game. Capcom’s latest preview of the event added to those suspicions with the publisher teasing that there would be “a few more surprises in store.”

Resident Evil Village later this year, it looks as though Capcom has plans to launch a new multiplayer game set in the iconic universe as well. A new closed beta phase for this mysterious project has now become available with fans being able to take part in play sessions for the title later this month.
Following the announcement of the Resident Evil Showcase earlier this morning, a new page on the official website for the franchise went live. This page features an application that allows users to sign up to take part in a closed beta for a new multiplayer game that Capcom seemingly has in the works.
