From installation of CCTVs, to beautification of the premises, to checking if lifts are working and if the supplied water is pure and ensuring physical distancing, residents associations of the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board (TNSCB) tenements have started playing an important role in maintaining the buildings they live in.

New Delhi, Feb 4 : In a bid to tackle the problem of air pollution in the national capital, the AAP government will promote electric vehicles, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday while appealing to the people to shift to eco-friendly mode to travel. As we all are aware, vehicles are the main source of air pollution in Delhi. Hence, I appeal to the people to buy only electric vehicles and thus help bring down pollution levels in the city. I especially appeal to the youth to buy electric two-wheelers only, Kejriwal said at a press conference.

A two-and-half-year-old girl named Ammulu, who was kidnapped by an auto-rickshaw driver named K. Sravan Kumar at Malakpet, for selling to a childless couple for money, was rescued within 24 hours, informed Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City on Friday.
The girl s father, 27-year-old ragpicker Sudugu Ajay, was sleeping with his wife, daughter and a friend on a footpath at Moosarambagh. At 01:30 hrs on January 28, he found that his daughter was missing and lodged a complaint at the Malakpet police station.
