Bahrain reinstates visa extension fees from Jan 22
MANAMA, January 18, 2021 Bahrain’s Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) said that the automatic and free extension of visiting visas would stop, adding that fee levies would resume from January 22, according to a media report. The grace period started on April 21, 2020 in implementation of the Executive Committee’s decision which took into account the situation of visitors following the suspension of flights as a result of COVID-19 pandemic, reported
Bahrain News Agency (BNA). The visitors can apply to extend their visas through bahrain.bh or visiting any services centres at the Muharraq Security Complex, Isa Town Office near Southern Governorate Police after booking appointments via Skiplino app, the report said.

The Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) said the service covers foreign retirees, investors and property owners in Bahrain.

The online service is in response to Bahrain Interior Minister s directives to expand e-services. Services will gradually be moved to the website. The service is also part of the NPRA s dedication to promoting the investment environment as part of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, BNA said in its report.

Cairo: Bahraini authorities have launched an online service allowing the application for issuing and renewing self-sponsored residency permits for foreigners.
The Bahraini Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) Authority has said that the service is available via the website www.evisa.gov.bh. The service targets foreign retirees, investors and property owners in Bahrain, with permit validity ranging from two, five to 10 years, the Bahraini news agency BNA reported.
The move is part of efforts to expand e-services to facilitate presenting applications without the need for in-person attendance.
