New Delhi [India], April 5 (ANI): Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan virtually launched the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) here on Monday.
Expressing his enthusiasm at the brave, futuristic and pertinent amalgamation of healthcare and technology, Dr Harsh Vardhan stated that This day shall be written in Golden Letters as a day that marks a milestone in the history of disease surveillance. We have started a new chapter in India s public health trajectory. India is the first country in the world to adopt such an advanced disease surveillance system.

Every year the second Thursday of March is celebrated as ‘World Kidney Day’ across the world. A health awareness campaign is jointly initiated by the International Society of Nephrology and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations on this day.
The first World Kidney Day was observed in 2006 with 66 countries participating and now the number has gone up to 88. It is aimed at raising awareness about the importance of kidneys and kidney-related diseases hence reducing the frequency and impact of such ailments worldwide.
Each year a theme is decided for the day to focus on various aspects of the subject and the theme for this year is ‘Living Well with Kidney Disease’. This has been done to empower kidney patients and their family members to help them deal with the trauma.

New Delhi [India], February 23 (ANI): The States/Union Territories (UTs) have rolled out the first phase of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 3.0 to cover children and pregnant women who missed the routine immunisation during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
It informed that over 29,000 children and 5,000 pregnant women were covered on Day 1.
The program is aimed to accelerate the full immunisation of children and pregnant women through a mission mode intervention.
