BCPD Precinct 11 seeking donations for Family Crisis Center

ESSEX — Precinct 11 of the Baltimore County Police Department is hosting a collection drive to benefit the Family Crisis Center, an organization which supports survivors of domestic violence, as part of the department’s National Crime Victims’ Week activities. The precinct has collaborated with the Family Crisis Center in the past, according to Officer Michael Lewis, one of the central organizers of the drive. “It’s just the right thing to do,” Lewis said. “We’re just trying to support these families.” The precinct is seeking personal hygiene items such as shampoo, deodorant, soap, combs and brushes, diapers, pull ups, socks, bath towels, infant formula, baby food, baby wipes, sanitizer, pack and play sheets and umbrellas.

County Accepts Federal ERAP Funding – Sheridan Media

Johnson County Commissioners, Linda Greenough, Bill Novotny and Bob Perry Johnson County will receive just over $43,000 from the US Department of the Treasury for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, or ERAP, to help with those in the county that have had problems paying rent, utilities or internet services due to the COVID-19 pandemic. County Commission Chairman Bill Novotny explained more about the program during their recent meeting. The county will partner with Family Crisis Center for distribution of funds for the program. The program is designed to go to the property owner to pay rent or utilities, as opposed to the renter who may have fallen behind with those expenses, according to discussions at the meeting.

Bottineau Family Crisis Center and Dakota College sponsor Walk a Mile | News, Sports, Jobs

Apr 10, 2021 April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Family Crisis Center in Bottineau partnered with Dakota College at Bottineau to create a community awareness event marking a one mile long decorated trail. The trail is unique as it is also the future Dakota College Agro-Forestry Path proposed in the Large-Project Orchard and Garden Grant. Along the trail, walkers will see promotions that support healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, and bystander intervention. This is designed by FCC to provide community awareness about sexual violence along with education on how to prevent and strengthen individual and community efforts. The community is invited to walk the trail any time from Saturday, April 24th through Friday, April 30th. Selfies encouraged throughout the walk and social media links will be posted along the way. The Hope Center, PILR and Circles battle poverty issues in Pratt

Three local organizations available here for those seeking assistance are the Hope Center, Circles of Hope, Pratt County, and Prairie Independent Living Resource Center, Inc. (PILR, pronounced Pillar).
