Florida VA healthcare systems lead nation in vaccinating veterans
The Bay Pines and Tampa systems are giving shots to military veterans 65 and older and beginning to vaccinate those over 18 who are essential frontline workers.

Four of Floridaâs veterans healthcare systems are leading the nation in administering the most first- and second-dose coronavirus vaccinations to military veterans.
The Bay Pines system in St. Petersburg and the Tampa system are vaccinating outpatients 65 and older, as well as enrolled and eligible veterans who are essential frontline workers over the age of 18, following guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to spokespeople for the systems.

More than 500 veterans will receive initial COVID-19 vaccinations during a two-day event in Colorado Springs this week.
The event, hosted by Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System, is slated to take place Saturday and Sunday at the PFC Floyd K. Lindstrom Clinic at 3141 Centennial Boulevard. An appointment is required to receive the vaccine.
In keeping with the CDC s priority guidelines, the VA is expanding into group 1c, with a primary focus on veterans 65 years of age or older. Primary and secondary care providers with the department’s Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) are also eligible for the vaccine.
VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System offering 500 Veterans COVID-19 vaccinations
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) Veterans Affairs (VA) Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) is scheduling initial COVID-19 vaccine appointments for more than 500 Veterans on Feb. 20-21 at the PFC Floyd K. Lindstrom Clinic in Colorado Springs.
VA is following CDC vaccination priority group guidelines and is currently expanding into priority group 1c, primarily focusing on Veterans
65 years of age and older. ECHCS is also offering vaccines to primary and secondary caregivers enrolled in the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC). If a Veteran is eligible for the vaccine, a qualified caregiver enrolled in PCAFC is eligible as well, regardless of age.
