The boy s father Charles said being able to hug 11-year-old son James was the best present ever after a complex legal battle with his French ex-wife was finally settled.
The emotional moment when the boy ran into his father s arms at London s Heathrow Airport was caught on camera by his delighted family.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Charles, 42, said: Words cannot describe what it feels like to have my son back home with me.

The father of a two-year-old boy who went missing more than a year ago has said he is overjoyed after his son was found in Germany and returned to Britain.
Benjamin Biendarra, 27, spoke of his relief after his child Emmanuel was located after being allegedly taken abroad by his German mother Kristina Nobis, 34.
A judge made an urgent appeal last month for help finding Emmanuel, who was living with his father in Kent under court orders when he disappeared late last year.
