ATHOL The COVID-19 pandemic certainly had an impact on the town, said Athol Town Manager Shaun Suhoski, but by employing a little Yankee ingenuity he and the rest of the municipal staff were able to meet the needs of the community in 2020. Suhoski made the assertion in a year-end interview with the Athol Daily News.
“As a municipality,” said Suhoski, “we have obligations to our citizenry that’s why we’re here, to serve the citizens and yet, at the same time, we have an equal obligation to protect the health and safety of our employees. We have 100 full-time employees of the town and 12,000 residents.”
