Short circuit occurred at ICU ward in Guntur s GGH, no injuries reported ANI | Updated: Jan 07, 2021 04:32 IST
Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], January 7 (ANI): A minor incident of a short circuit took place near the ICU ward at Government General Hospital (GGH), Guntur on Wednesday night. However, nobody was injured in the incident, police said.
Kothapet police station circle inspector SVS Rajasekhar Reddy said that the incident took place at around 9:45 pm on Wednesday. On Wednesday at around 9.05 PM a small incident of the short circuit took place near ICU ward in the hospital took place. An oxygen pipe passing nearby is partially damaged and oxygen supply to the ward is stopped. There are 15 COVID or likely to be COVID patients in that ward. Hospital staff informed the matter to us. By the time we reached, the patients were shifted to another ward as a precautionary measure, Reddy told ANI.
TDP leader Puramsetti Ankulu murdered in Andhra s Guntur ANI | Updated: Jan 03, 2021 23:56 IST
Ankulu was a former sarpanch of Peda Garlapadu village in Dachepalli Mandal.
Speaking to ANI, Dachepalli sub-inspector Nagireddy said that Ankulu was murdered in an under-construction apartment. His throat was slit with a knife at around 8 pm.
Soon after the news broke out, TDP local leaders alleged that YSRCP leaders have murdered Ankulu. They further alleged that there is police involvement in the incident. Dachepalli sub-inspector has refuted all allegations.
Moreover, TDP leaders had a verbal brawl with the police after the incident. They also raised slogans against the police for some brief time. (ANI)

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], December 10 (ANI): YSRCP leader Devalla Revathi on Thursday issued a clarification regarding the police complaint for an incident in which she is accused of slapping a toll plaza staffer and refusing to pay tax at Kaja toll in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.
Revathi, chairperson of Vaddera Corporation, released a video giving her version on the incident of high handedness at Kaza toll plaza in which she said that there was much propaganda against her since the morning.
Giving details of the incident, the YSRCP leader said the actual incident was ignored and only a five-second clipping is being circulated. But prior to that, she was attacked for almost half an hour by the toll plaza staff and local goons.
