‘There are no differences and Eshwarappa should not have written the letter’
Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary and party’s Karnataka in charge Arun Singh on Thursday sought to downplay the episode of senior leader and Minister K.S. Eshwarappa writing to the Governor complaining against interference of Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa in his departmental administration.
Mr. Singh, who arrived in the State on Thursday on a four-day visit, told reporters that it was not a matter of concern and reiterated that Mr. Eshwarappa should not have written such a letter to the Governor.

MANGALURU: Deputy chief minister Ashwath Narayan C N said that works on the proposed IT park, on approximately five acres, will commence immediately. “Though tenders for setting up the park on the PPP model was called on several occasions in the past, and since there was no response, Smart City and Keonics will now develop the IT park in the city. The state government will provide all possible support. Keonics is considering acquiring another four acres of adjacent land,” he said.
The DCM was speaking at a day-long brainstorming conclave with thought leaders from academia, industry and the government, under the chairmanship of Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, which was presented by leadership advisory Centre for Contemporary Issues, with lead partner Keonics, on Wednesday. The objective of the conclave is to think through and come out with an action plan to make Mangaluru a global innovation hub for science and tech

Nalin Kumar Kateel, Dakshina Kannada MP, said here on Wednesday that the foundation stone for the Indian Coast Guard’s Training Academy which will come up on the outskirts of the city will be laid within a month from now.
Speaking at the valedictory of Mangaluru Innovation Conclave, hosted by Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (KEONICS) and the Centre for Contemporary Issues, Bengaluru, he said that it will be the only such academy in the country.
Plastic park
Mr. Kateel said that the foundation stone for the proposed plastic park, also on the outskirts of the city, is expected to be laid in two months from now.
