A mellow winter has made this an ideal year for many to take up fat tire bicycling, but trails are the gateway needed to introduce outdoor enthusiasts to the sport. A newly developed trail at the Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center near Spicer and a new fleet of rental flat tire bikes is helping introduce people in west central Minnesota to it.

NEW LONDON Jonah Moline knew long before he graduated from the New London-Spicer High School that a career in natural resources was for him.
What he didn’t know is that his career would eventually bring him home to the outdoors he’s always loved.
The 2001 NL-S graduate began duties this past month as the new manager of Sibley State Park.
“I’d never planned on it happening,” Moline said. “Things fell into place for me, an opportunity I couldn’t refuse.”.
