Area health care providers address the slower-than-anticipated rollout of COVID-19 vaccines and delayed deliveries Written By: PineandLakes Echo Journal | 7:00 am, Feb. 18, 2021 × The slower-than-anticipated rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, delayed deliveries, receiving fewer doses than expected and difficulty scheduling vaccination appointments has led to frustration for many. A joint news release from area health care providers said their goal is to vaccinate everyone in the community as quickly as possible. The joint release came from the following providers: Crow Wing County Health Department, Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, Essentia Health, St. Gabriel’s Health in Little Falls, Lakewood Health System in Staples, Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin and Tri-County Healthcare Care in Wadena.

A: Essentia Health The most efficient way to get notified and scheduled for the vaccine with Essentia Health is through MyChart, the organization stated. Visit Cuyuna Regional Medical Center CRMC will announce vaccination clinics as vaccine becomes available. The information will also be available on a recorded message at 218-545-4560. Patients who do not have an email address on file should send a message with the address to CHI St. Gabriel’s Health St. Gabriel’s is contacting its patients who are eligible for vaccine. Lakewood Health System Lakewood has started a waitlist for the COVID-19 vaccine for those in the Phase 1b, tiers 2 and 3 priority groups, as designated by the Minnesota Department of Health.
