The varied locales set the scenes for a world of cinematic stories created by both emerging and established female directors that were selected to be screened as part of the fifth annual CASCADIA International Women’s Film Festival. From May 13-22, it will be possible for pass-holders to virtually travel from one country to the next simply by watching as many as possible of the 19 short films and eight features highlighted in this year’s program.
Robinson will participate in an an online conversation and reading from her latest book, Return of the Trickster, the third and final installment in the bestselling Trickster trilogy. “Eden Robinson is a prominent and prolific writer, and we are beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to engage with her,” Steinunn Benjaminsson, VIRL customer service librarian II and event organizer, said. “Anyone who has read her works knows she is deeply imaginative, hilarious, and thoughtful.
