A south London man who was caught riding his electric scooter while drunk has been banned from the roads.
Metropolitan Police officers spotted Mohamed Shardi, 22, weaving dangerously through traffic in Brixton on August 8.
At one point, the e-bike narrowly missed hitting their patrol car.
When officers stopped him, Shardi was argumentative and unsteady on his feet, Scotland Yard said.
He admitted to drinking two bottles of beer but repeatedly refused to be breathalysed.
As a result, he was arrested and taken to a south London police station where he was subsequently tested and found to be at more than two times the drink driving limit.
