Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borissov and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva have expressed condolences to their Croatian counterparts after a strong earthquake hit the country on December 29, killing at least seven people and causing major property damage.
“I want to express my sincere condolences to the close ones of those who perished in the earthquake. All of Bulgaria shares the tragedy of the Croatian people and we hope for the speedy recovery of those,” Borissov told Croatian prime minister Andrej Plenkovic in a phone conversation, according to a statement by the Bulgarian government’s media office on December 30.
Borissov also said Bulgaria was ready to assist with recovery efforts: “We are prepared to help our friend Croatia. It is at moments like this that we must stand united in solidarity.”

ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) – The Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics (IHJJ) has published an online edition of the Dictionary of the Croatian Kajkavian Literary Language at kajkavski.hr.
On the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the publication of the first print dictionary of the Kajkavian Croatian literary language, “Dictionar” (1670) by Juraj Habdelic, and the 280th anniversary of the printing of the most comprehensive Kajkavian dictionary, “Gazophylacium” (1740) by Ivan Belostenec, the IHJJ has launched a digitised online edition of all previously published volumes of the historical Dictionary of the Croatian Kajkavian Literary Language, lexicographically prepared by the Department of Croatian Language History and Historical Lexicography and co-published with the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU), the IHJJ said in a press release.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of B&H prof. dr. Zlatko Lagumdžija spoke at the international conference Legacy of Peace - 25 Years of the Dayton - Paris Peace Agreement , organized by the Croatian Academy of Science and Art and the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
Lagumdžija pointed out that a real dialogue was held at the conference, and that two concepts could be heard - one that insists on resolving the Croatian issue and advocates constitutionality and ethnic representation, and the other that he advocated, which advocates B&H as a civic, secular and liberal democratic state.

Organized by the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, an international conference Legacy of Peace - 25 Years of the Dayton-Paris Peace Agreement was held.
During his presentation, Haris Silajdžić once again emphasized that there was no civil war in B&H, but aggression. He added that the aggression was rewarded by the Dayton Peace Agreement and called on the international community not to repeat the same mistake and to reward aggression and genocide again.
