Bow Creek Chronicles: Terry Butzirus, advertising and sales manager, has died at age 65. Suggested Event Aug 31, 2021 to Sep 02, 2021 As planters continue to roll across Nebraska, it is difficult for our Nebraska Farmer family to think of working through this growing season and summer magazine schedule without a very important colleague and team member. It is with sad and heavy hearts that Nebraska Farmer and Farm Progress mourn the passing of a man who has worked with Nebraska Farmer in advertising for the past 40 years.

Free Food Distribution May 8th in Murfreesboro Apr 30, 2021 at 11:27 am by WGNS A free food box distribution will take place at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church next Saturday (May 8, 2021) from 11AM to 1PM. The event is for those in need. The free food boxes will contain non-perishable food. It will be available on a first come – first serve basis. No pre-registration is required for the May 8th event. Location: 1267 N. Rutherford Blvd. in Murfreesboro, TN Note: Enter on the Rutherord Blvd. entrance and exit onto Old Lascassas Road.

Oasis of peace: All will be welcome at The Way church s prayer park off SR 200 in SW Ocala Andy Fillmore © Andy Fillmore/For the Star-Banner Volunteers work on The Way Prayer Park in the State Road 200 corridor. An outdoor public prayer park meant to be an oasis of peace just a stone s throw from the clamor of hectic west State Road 200 has been set up by members of the recently formed The Way church. The park, adjacent to The Way church building at 7173 SW State Road 200, will be dedicated on the National Day of Prayer, which is May 6, with an event on the grounds. The event will include live music, hot dogs and prayers offered for individuals, the community and the nation. 

Dorothy M Allen

Dorothy M. Allen, 76, of Mount Joy, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Esther (Ney) Shirk. Dorothy was the wife of the late David L. Allen who passed away on September 5, 2004. Dorothy was a graduate of Donegal High School class of 1964. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Mount Joy. Until recently she was an active member of the church choir and loved listening to music and watching old movies. She enjoyed spending time with friends at church events and playing bingo at the Elizabethtown Area Senior Center. To her, time well spent meant spending it with family. She was particularly fond of running around with her sister Pauline to shop and talk about life. Friday evenings were not complete if they didn t include a trip out to eat with her son s family, followed by browsing at a local bookstore for a good story to read.
