It shatters the record for any site fee for a boxing event.  Fury and Joshua will each net $75 million, and the rest of the money will go to expenses, including to pay for undercard fights. However, nothing is final yet.  The two British heavyweights will fight to become the first unified heavyweight king since Lennox Lewis. It s slated to be one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing.

That will put the fight head-to-head with the Gervonta Davis vs Mario Barrios PPV from Showtime. Lomachenko (14-2, 10 KO) hasn’t fought since his Oct. 2020 loss to Teofimo Lopez, after which he underwent shoulder surgery. The 33-year-old Ukrainian southpaw is still the No. 2 man in the 135 lb division, and should certainly not be written off for losing to Lopez, who proved to be the real deal and everything he had said he was.

Baby wrote that nothing is final but that Matchroom managing director Eddie Hearn, who promotes Joshua, received a proposed memorandum of understanding for the fight s financial backers. He is waiting for a legally binding document to close the deal. Hearn appeared confident that finishing the superfight deal was a formality, telling TalkSport: We are dotting the I s and crossing the T s and you will get an announcement soon, but that fight is going to be happening this summer.
