Mick Foley Compares R-K-Bro to Classic WWE Attitude Era Tag Team
Monday Night Raw over the past few weeks. WWE s history is littered with unlikely duos finding success as tag teams, and Hall of Famer Mick Foley took to Twitter during the show to compare the pair to when he teamed with The Rock as The Rock n Sock Connection. That pair formed back in August 1999 and wound up winning the WWF Tag Team Championships three times before splitting up a month later. The Good Brothers weren’t able to recapture the Tag Team Championships at Impact Rebellion, and Karl Anderson thanks it was the right move. Anderson and Doc Gallows were defeated by FinJuice at Rebellion in their rematch for the titles, and the two discussed it on the latest episode of Talk’n Shop.
“I think it’s a great idea that we don’t get them,” Anderson said (per Fightful). He noted that they already have plenty of accomplishments as a team and it was better to keep them on the NJPW team right now.
Gallows added that the show was a big success financially, noting, “The highest buy rate in IMPACT Wrestling history, I heard it come out of Don Callis’ mouth.” Anderson later noted that it was actually the second-biggest, behind only Slammiversary 2020.

MVP is confident in Bobby’s claim that he can beat Drew or Braun in individual competition, and Adam says it’s time put the theory to the test. He has a coin, and what face it lands on will determine who Bobby faces tonight. MVP attempts to rig the coin before Drew comes in and can’t help but sense MVP is a little nervous at the prospect of Bobby having to face Drew tonight. MVP scoffs and says Bobby will beat anyone. Braun interjects and claims that he can beat Bobby tonight just like he beat Drew last week.

Raw s highlights this week was the unlikely partnership of Riddle and Randy Orton as R-K-Bro. Together the pair beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. In a post-match interview on WWE s YouTube channel, Riddle continued to push for the pair to become the most dominant tag team in all of WWE. He even pushed for the two to win the tag titles on Raw, SmackDown and NXT, prompting Orton to respond with Bro. one day at a time.
