Manitoba RCMP issue 62 tickets related to COVID-19 enforcement calls from Dec. 14 to Dec. 20 Corwyn Friesen, mySteinbach Posted on 12/23/2020 at 11:00 am Between December 14 and 20, Manitoba RCMP issued a total of 283 warnings and 62 tickets related to COVID-19 enforcement, many related to private gatherings. The following were included in the 62 tickets handed out: two $5,000 tickets to businesses for various offences; 48 $1,296 tickets to individuals for various offences; and 12 $298 tickets for failure to wear a mask in indoor public places. As the holiday season approaches, officials advise that 35 tickets were issued last week in relation to gatherings in private residences. Manitobans are reminded that public health orders remain in effect throughout the holidays and must be followed to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
