The city is pleased to support another affordable housing development made possible through the partnership of a nonprofit housing entity and a local faith community, which has embraced housing neighbors as part of its mission, Wilson said.

Lighthouse opening 64-unit Coolidge Place affordable housing development in Oak Park

Lighthouse has wrapped construction on a new low income housing development in Oak Park and the first residents are moving in this month. The $15.6 million Coolidge Place development is located just north of 8 Mile in the city and features 64 townhome and ranch-style apartments. One, two and three bedroom options are available at the new residential complex, which sits on a 4.5-acre site. It’s estimated that roughly 20,000 residents in Oakland County are rent burdened, meaning they pay more than 30% of their pre-tax income on rent, according to 2018 data from the Urban Institute. In the midst of the pandemic, that number has surely grown, said Ryan Hertz, president and CEO of Lighthouse.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The Minneapolis office of Colliers Mortgage, part of Colliers International | U.S., recently closed a $20.5M HUD 221(d)(4) loan for financing for the substantial rehabilitation of Sycamore Ridge, a 220-unit multifamily affordable housing property located in Gainesville, Georgia.  The Borrower will be renovating the project at a cost of $12,885,333 using 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits and tax-exempt bonds, as well as a HUD-insured first mortgage.  The tax-exempt bonds were underwritten by Colliers Securities, an affiliate of Colliers Mortgage and part of Colliers International | U.S.  The rehabilitation facilitates the revitalization of rental housing for families earning 60% or less of Area Median Income.
