Thursday, 20th May 2021, 5:30 pm
A variety of junk was dumped, polluting the Ancaster Valley SSSI, some time during the past two weeks.
And it comes as police appeal for witnesses to an outrageous act of dumping junk on a local nature reserve beauty spot in Ancaster.
The number of fly-tipping incidents reported in the district has jumped by two thirds in a year – from 837 in 12 months ending in March 2020 to 1,405 in the same period ending this March.
With a similar trend across Lincolnshire, the district council has said enough is enough and has formed a county-wide Environmental Crime Partnership with all relevant agencies working together.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested after a hit and run in Louth on Thursday night, when a motorbike was spotted riding on the wrong side of the road.
A black and grey 125cc motorbike was travelling along Newmarket towards Kenwick Road and rode through a red traffic light at speed at around 7.30pm on April 8.
It also failed to stop for officers in a marked police car. The motorbike continued onto Kenwick Road and rode on the wrong side of the road and around keep-left bollards.
