Beware of a new scam online: Fraudsters are now sending e-mails to trick victims into paying money for bogus packages, the Dubai Police have warned. It’s also a phishing attack so, once a person pays online, hackers will be able to access the bank account, according to the authorities.
Expert Major-General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, assistant commander-in-chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, urged residents to ignore such e-mails, Al Khaleej reported on Friday.

The Dubai Police cracked a murder case using the brain fingerprint technology for the first time.
The officers used the smart analysis device that measures the brain waves when the suspect sees the images of the tools used in the crime or the location, and provides a thorough image of the crime scene.
Regarding the details of the murder case in which the Dubai Police used the “Memory Print” techology, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Issa Al Hammadi confirmed that the case was a murder in a warehouse where several people work.

The honouring ceremony was attended by Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, who awarded Mrs. Shadiya Jamal Saad Al Dien for her loyalty and tireless effort in serving the force for more than four decades.

The Dubai Police have honoured an employee, who retired after working with the force for over four decades. Shadiya Jamal Saad Al Dien was honoured for her “loyalty and tireless efforts” in 42 years of service.
Major-General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, lauded Shadiya’s “excellent and efficient performance in carrying out her duties”.
“She is known for being a role model in upholding ethics, and dedication to work,” said the officer. “It is our duty to show respect and appreciation to those who have devoted their life to the Dubai Police.”
