Albuquerque couple sentenced to federal prison in Ayudando Guardians case

ALBUQUERQUE, NM   Susan K. Harris, and William S. Harris, both of Albuquerque, were sentenced today in federal court for conspiracy to defraud the United States and other financial crimes committed in connection with the operation of Ayudando Guardians, Inc., a non-profit corporation that previously provided guardianship, conservatorship and financial management to hundreds of people with special needs. Susan Harris was sentenced to 47 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. William Harris was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Both will be required to pay the entire amount of stolen funds as restitution to the victims.

Atlantic City Police Investigating Assault of City Councilman Cops in Atlantic City say a city councilman was assaulted Thursday night. According to the Atlantic City Police Department, at about 10:45 PM, their officers responded to a parking lot near the intersection of Florida and Atlantic Avenues for the report of an assault. Vicksburg police launch Operation Blitz to combat crime

By Cianna Reeves Jul 16, 2021 | 5:26 PM VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – In an effort to target street-level criminal activity, the Vicksburg Police Department launched Operation Blitz on Thursday, July 15. For the next several weeks, officers of the Patrol Division, the Criminal Investigations Division, and the Narcotics/NET Team will be out in force throughout the city focusing on high-level offenders who are responsible crimes. Operation Blitz will also be serving warrants to those who are wanted for multiple charges. Officers will also work toward identifying and arresting people who are in illegal possession of firearms. Fugitive arrested in infant abduction case

Special to the Weatherford Democrat Jul 16, 2021 20 hrs ago A fugitive sought by several law enforcement agencies has been arrested in Parker County, after being located and taken into custody by Weatherford PD Thursday. Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier said an active felony warrant was issued for Marcus Allhoff Nast, 25, following an infant abduction in Ennis, which sparked a statewide Amber Alert. Ennis police said 7-month-old Miguel David Lee-Ramirez was forcefully abducted from his father at gunpoint and was believed to be in immediate danger. The Parker County Sheriff’s Office was notified that the child’s mother, identified as Faith Joann Reid, 20, and her boyfriend (Nast) had traveled to Parker County with the infant.
