Rockhampton Magistrates Court heard on Friday police intercepted Mark James Eade, 30, riding his bike at 8.05pm on August 19, 2020. After asking him if he had anything to declare, police found 448g of cannabis in his possession. Police prosecutor Clancy Fox called Eade s history with drugs considerable . Solicitor Lachlan Robertson agreed the cannabis found was not an insignificant amount , but said Eade had a tumultuous and upsetting upbringing and a genuine amount of remorse . Magistrate Gary Finger said: We re not talking here about a small amount of cannabis .

Subscriber only Two Rockhampton residents faced court last week after the search of a home in Park Avenue uncovered a number of illegal items. Christopher Shane Neal pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 8 to one count of authority required to possess explosives. Rebecca Anne Guy pleaded guilty to one count of possess utensils or pipes that had been used. Police prosecutor Clancy Fox said police executed a search warrant at a home in Park Avenue at 8am on December 6, 2020. Mr Fox said during the search police found two rounds of ammunition. He said Neal told police the rounds belonged to him.

A Rockhampton man found himself in court last week after police searched him and found a small amount of marijuana.
Donald James Murray pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 8 to one count each of possessing a dangerous drug and possess utensils or pipes that had been used.
Police prosecutor Clancy Fox said police had detained Murray on June 22, 2020, for the purpose of an emergency examination authority under the Mental Health Act.
Mr Fox said prior to transporting Murray to hospital, police searched him and found 2.2g of marijuana and a cone piece.
Murray was ordered to six months’ probation with criminal convictions recorded.
