Independent record shop to open in Wapping Wharf

Longwell Records, which has welcomed a long line of big-name and emerging musicians into its Keynsham shop over the years, is embarking on a new chapter with the launch of a shop in Bristol.
Wapping Wharf will be the home of Longwell Records’ second shop, stocking new and used vinyl records and t-shirts with designs by local artists including Oli T and Inkie.
Artists including Razorlight, Amber Run, Billy Nomates, Mike Peters, The Allergies, Phoxjaw and Jade Bird have performed in the Keynsham shop since it first opened in 2016.

Matthew Shaw A DRINK driver who caused the death of a young woman in a crash has had his jail term increased. Judges at the Court of Appeal today (Tuesday, April 20) ruled his initial sentence was unduly lenient. Matthew Shaw, 35, drove his Audi A5 through a red light in Midsomer Norton before colliding head on with Jenny Sell’s Honda Jazz on July 31, 2019, at the junction of Hayes Park Road and Northmead Road. It is believed Shaw was driving at twice the 30mph limit at the time. Jenny, who would have turned 21 two months later, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
